Yeah, we were up against a time crunch (we literally had a week to put this together) and didn’t co-ordinate our messages well enough, it would seem. There was another event that called itself an “online comic convention” and we didn’t want to step on any toes, but the PR had already gone out. That event is apparently defunct now, so we’ll call it what we like next time around.

And plan better. ;)

We had a few hundred attendees and several “panels.” It seemed to go well and we’re already planning another.

The difference here appears to be that Comicon.com was intended to represent artist and publisher booths and run perpetually, while this WEBReeF thing is intended to be time-based, held over a particular weekend.
