Lobo’s also appeared in the 90s/2000s Superman and Justice League cartoons, so there’s precedent for a “lighter” version of “the Main Man”… :-p

(That, and kids will be way more familiar with all of these incarnations over the actual comics, if they’re even aware of those…)

That’s true, I’d forgotten about Coach Lobo. And the Huntress! So many wacky, clever ideas in that series.

“Coach” Lobo made a perfect addition to the cast of Art’s “Tiny Titans” – home of Batcow! – as well as Trigon and Deathstroke. Though played for laughs, they were still true to the core character.

(OK, maybe not Trigon. But you know that is what he would do, if just given a chance…)
