Yeah the sum isn't great, though it has some good bits. Part of it is I ever really cared for Vandal as the bad guy, he was too aloof. He wasn't that different from how Lex Luthor is usually portrayed, except without the true menace feel.

I dislike the Martian Manhunter look, it's just too dull. Given Bane, Tigress-- er Cheetah's :). and Star Sapphire's large amount of skin showing, J'Onn's usual suit would have evened it out to 2 boys and girls in revealing clothes lol.

I loved Hal's banter, though I'm betting casual fans (those who only have know JL from animated series) probably wondered what he was talking about with Carol. Flash's one upmanship with Batman searching for Royal Flush Gang was fun! Odd that same voice that played Wally in JL series, was playing Barry in this though.

Okay just watched it, took it as a chance to try the Vudu online rental service since the movie isn't out on Red Box yet and my Blockbuster has closed.

It was far more enjoyable than I expected going in. Nathan Fillion as GL just bring so much character to the role. Hal's never been a favorite of mine, but Nathan makes it work somehow. I actually found myself agreeing with Batman that the team needed safety precautions. Early on with the Royal Flush gang, there was an arrogance from the League that I found a little troubling. Doubled later as we see Flash telling cops they were basically useless or GL ignoring advise from Feds.

I really wish someone could explain Mirror Master's powers to me. Every comic or animated appearance he seems to have godlike power, then gets taken out without any real explanation how.(other than he's an idiot I guess?)

Was nice to see Lois & Clark apparently together too. Fun little movie though!

DC seems to think Vandal Savage is a lot cooler than I do. I saw something that speculated that they wanted to make this film less Batman-focused, thus the bad guy change, but given the cover, I'm not sure that makes sense. I hope you're right about more shorts on the TV program. They were the best part.

Hmm I wonder why they changed the main bad guy from Ra's Al Ghul (in comic) to Vandal? Ra's had the more direct connection with Batman, and was in Batman Begins so is more well known. Plus wasn't this the story in comics that had Ra's stealing Bruce's parents bodies?

I can understand changing Kyle out for Hal, though it takes away the great ending where they decide they have to trust each other fully to be a team. So they reveal their Secret ID's to each other. This just sounds like an excuse to have a big fight, could still be fun, but more of a rental than a buy. No DC short this time huh? Sad... those were the best things to come out of these direct to video movies. (maybe new DC animation hour can do some)

That looks more like Tigra than Cheetah. The animation looks similar to Young Justice.

I wonder if WW's costume was modeled after the costume in the recent failed tv pilot. The short shorts and all.
