Lee Leslie, artist of Screamland, wrote to let me know about his webcomic, Rigby the Barbarian. It’s about an archaeology student who finds a magical sword, which leads her into a bizarre twist on the traditional “hero destined to save the village” story. The town leader and his muscle-bound son have trouble with a rescuer who doesn’t fit the picture they already have in their heads.

Leslie describes it as “a funny pulp-adventure/fantasy comic with plenty of sarcasm, an army of skeletons, and lots of dinosaurs.” From what I’ve read, that’s true. It’s posting every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday thorough the end of the month.
