I stumbled upon Natalie Nourigat's deviantart page awhile back, and picked this book up due to my love of the artwork I’d found.

I loved how the book's art ranged from appropriately silly chibi-style to appropriately emotionally-deep detailed. I marveled at how she kept an impossibly busy schedule (I thought I was busy during college!), and liked that I had a thing or two to learn from her. I too was sometimes confused trying to keep track of characters, and was especially confused by who said what in a key scene. My biggest complaint was the part where she exhibited at WonderCon-- because I was there (this was before I’d discovered her art) and somehow failed to see her table! BTW my copy had the same two misprints.

I gave the book to my niece who's currently in her college junior year and I am eager to hear her thoughts-- though I expect she'll be too busy to read it until summer.

I wonder if you’re planning to review EmiTown, by Nourigat's friend Emi Lenox. I picked up volume one based on the recommendation of a trusted employee at my fave local comic shop, but haven’t read it yet.
