MoCCA Fest April 28-29 in New York City

I’m gearing up to attend my first comic show of the year, the MoCCA Festival sponsored by the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art.

Held at the 69th Regiment Armory in New York City, the show will take place April 28 and 29 from 11-6 daily, and tickets are now available for sale at $12 per day or $18 for both. It’s an expensive trip — hotels in NYC are never cheap — but a great opportunity for me to see favorite artists and discover new ones in the comic capital of the world.

The poster art shown here is by guest of honor P. Craig Russell. Other appearing guests include Gary Panter, Jessica Abel, Joyce Brabner, Box Brown, Domitille Collardey, Leela Corman, Mike Dawson, Stephen DeStefano, Drew Friedman, Dean Haspiel, Michael Kupperman, Peter Kuper, Matt Madden, MK Reed, Alex Robinson, Raina Telgemeier, GB Tran, Lauren Weinstein, Shannon Wheeler, and many more! There are already a ton of exhibitors signed up, too.

This year, the show has its own website, so follow that for all the updates.
