Sony’s Amazing Spider-Man, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on November 9. There are a variety of options for purchase:
* The combo pack has a Blu-ray, DVD, and UltraViolet version, list price $40.99
* The four-disc combo adds a 3-D Blu-ray disc ($55.99)
* The standard DVD also comes with an UltraViolet digital copy ($30.99)
* The Limited Edition set adds figurines of Spider-Man and the Lizard ($95.99)
The Blu-rays include a second screen app for Sony tablets or the iPad that includes interviews, storyboards, alternate takes, concept art, costume tests, and stunt rehearsals. Production mode will let users “sling” content from the tablet to the TV.
There’s also a second Blu-ray disc with “90 minutes of behind-the-scenes documentaries, taking viewers behind the scenes of the development and direction of the film, casting, costumes, location shoots, visual effects, and more.” The 3-D disc has an exclusive “3D 101 with Marc Webb” featurette which covers the techniques used in the film. The DVD includes deleted scenes, a production art gallery, and audio commentary with director Marc Webb and producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.
