KC Celebrates Spider-Man’s 50th Anniversary

Amazing Spider-Man #692 cover

KC’s latest Westfield column looks back at his long relationship with Spider-Man comics and how much he’s enjoyed them over the years, from 1970 to more modern issues.

I kind of want to see the old Black Widow, “dressed like a high-class society dame in her 40s — with a big hat!” (as KC describes her). And like KC, I miss cheap reprint comic issues. But history isn’t a selling point any more, as we’ve seen with the recent emphasis on all-new! different! (but not really!) relaunches.

Anyway, Spidey, good dude to read about. Unless you’re talking Clone Saga. Happy 50th Anniversary!
