Thanks for the review! I missed this movie when it was in theaters, but I did get a chance to watch it Friday night. I was in my office at DISH surfing online, when I saw that The Amazing Spider-Man was available to rent to my DISH Hopper DVR. I ordered it and it was ready to watch by the time I got home. As a life long fan, I can say that this movie was better than the other three, but not by much. I enjoyed seeing the wise cracking hero on screen, but I am very disappointed by the return to the origin story (a spider bit him, we get it). I also didn’t like the dropped subplots. First, I didn’t like that they would introduce these plots only to drop them. Two, I have never liked “Ultimate Spiderman”, and it seems that those subplots come directly from the Ultimate comics. One day Marvel will get their rights back, and then we can finally get a decent Spiderman movie.
