Chicago Launches Laydeez Do Comics Group With January 31 Event

Laydeez Do Comics Chicago

I was thoroughly disappointed to note that January 31 is a Thursday, since Chicago is close enough for me to get to an event, but not on a weeknight. If you have a more flexible schedule, check out Laydeez Do Comics Chicago, a monthly comics salon that debuts at the end of this month at Quimby’s Bookstore. As they describe it,

Come hear comics creators speak about their work, their process, their plans, and whatever else they want to share with us.

Our inaugural speakers will be Kris Dresen (Max & Lily, Manya, She Said), Corinne Mucha (Freshman, My Alaskan Summer, Chicago Magazine), Rinko Endo (Aggression Management Manga, The Cage).

Laydeez Do Comics also has chapters in London, Leeds, and San Francisco.
