To promote the release of Wreck-It Ralph on home video — oddly, it can be bought digitally now while the DVD isn’t out for two more weeks — Disney has released these two behind-the-scenes clips in very sketchy draft form. The first features Ralph learning about a lifestyle video game called “X-Treme E-Z Livin’ 2″ while in prison.
In the second, Ralph has made it into the game only to discover that a life of hedonism can be pretty boring.
I admit, the game made me laugh. I don’t think it would have gone with the movie as we saw it, but as a satire of certain kinds of games and programming limitations, I thought it was funny.
