I just realized I’m two months late posting a link to the Publishers Weekly Critics’ Poll for the Best Graphic Novels of 2012. Unsurprisingly, Chris Ware’s Building Stories won, since the innovative format impressed a lot of people. It wasn’t until fourth place that my choices start showing up. I previously posted my personal list, and here’s the PW list from the year before. At this point, I know we’ve moved on to focusing on what’s coming up, not looking back, but I do like to capture these lists as an indicator of what’s being discussed at a particular point in time.
