I’m doubtful that they will be able to balance the “fun” and the “dark” the way the Iron Man movies have. For me Superman doesn’t need to be dark at all, but I know that I’m in the minority on this one. So it needs to be balanced well. In addition to the three points you’ve got above, the fact that Christopher Nolan was pulled in to help because of the direction he took with his Batman trilogy is not helping me feel good about this movie.

They gave me a free cupcake too, my choice of red or blue icing.(tasted good for those wondering lol)

It comes with a little Premiere Guide, that sends you to a site on VUDU that gives you 3 free episodes of Superman TAS and a fairly interesting prequel comic that if its promise leads into the movie as it says. Will mean a Super surprise I wasn’t expecting but could be really cool.

I’ve actually become more impressed by the movie with the more I see of it, especially the Lois and Superman scenes. Which gives me hope that while the world around him is dark, which it sadly is so much so since the old Donner days, perhaps when he accepts his role Superman can be a light.

I suspect there to be lots of action, which will include fighting, but I don’t know if we’ll see it on any greater level than say Avengers or Iron Man 3 had.

I guess I’m just really hopeful to see a Superman story I like, it has been a while. lol
