Fantagraphics Deals at Bargain Book Seller

I don’t know how I got on the mailing list, but Hamilton Book sent me a catalog that had some great Fantagraphics book deals in it, and you can see them online. Discounts range from 30% to 75% off list price. For example:

  • My new favorite, Barnaby Volume 1, at $24 (instead of $35)
  • Several of the EC reprint volumes for $20 each
  • The Pogo volumes at $28 (instead of $40)
  • The new Hip Hop Family Tree at $17 (instead of $25 — although Amazon has it at $15.50 if you’re willing to wait a couple of months)

I don’t know how they do it, and certainly, they only have a sampling of Fantagraphics’ wide line, but you may want to browse if you’re looking for a deal. I’ve never ordered from this vendor, so I don’t know about service, speed, or shipping costs.

I used to order from Hamilton back in the day – their catalog was a relatively thick tabloid similar to the NY Review of Books, as I recall. But I stopped ordering from them when they refused to go to the internet (they’ve obviously rethought that decision). I hadn’t thought of them in years – thanks for the head’s up.

Another fan of Hamilton Bookseller here. I’ve ordered from them often over the years. My recollection is that their shipping charges are very reasonable and service good.

Especially since they’ve embraced the internet, they’re a great source for discounted new boos, overstocks, and remainders including, increasingly, graphic novels.

Glad to hear they have satisfied customers!

There are some great deals listed – check the entire Graphic Novels & Comics section. I just spent $86 ($7 of which was postage) for books with a $290 cover price. Not a bad discount! Note that they mention that they cannot guarantee delivery by Christmas.
