Win a Copy of Yotsuba&! Book 12

I adore the Yotsuba&! series. It’s a tonic, a restful bit of entertainment that encourages me and sometimes even restores my soul. Ok, that’s putting a lot on a manga, but still, I like it a lot. And I have a spare copy of the latest volume (which is readable to someone new to the series) to give away.

To enter the contest, please leave a comment below telling me (briefly) about a small thing that you enjoy in life, in honor of Yotsuba’s “enjoy everything” attitude. A winner will be picked randomly from all entries on Wednesday, December 18.

(U.S. addresses only, please. Winners will be emailed to confirm address. If email is not answered within 24 hours or a valid email address is not provided, a replacement winner will be selected. Your email won’t be used for any other purpose.)

  2. Yotsuba! ♥ I almost picked this up at Barnes & Noble last week.

As for my favorite small things in life, I enjoy drinking a cup of coffee when it’s raining and watching the world get wet as I drink something hot and sweet. It’s a few minutes of uninterrupted bliss.

  3. I really enjoy seeing the pictures my daughter is drawing now. She’s starting to get heavily into manga and anime, and her style certainly reflects that!

(PS, I promise that if picked I will provide a US address!)

  4. oh man. oh man, i love yotsuba.

my favorite small thing? receiving packages in the mail. whether i ordered them or whether they’re a care package from someone. always gets me excited.

  5. Reading something new and being transported to a new universe is one of my favorite things in life.

  6. As a very busy person, I enjoy the times I can simply sit down in my favorite chair and read.

I also enjoy watching my 3-year-old grandson have so much fun with my talking TARDIS cookie jar – he’s our 3rd-generation Whovian!

    I love Yotsuba&! a lot.

  7. I enjoy seeing my daughter play with her hamsters.

  8. The instrumental break in “You Never Give Me Your Money” by the Beatles. You have chiming guitars in the left channel, fuzz guitar in the right, and the boys going “Aaaaaaaah” over it all in three-part harmony. Glorious.

  9. Kevin Lighton

The sudden ‘a-ha!’ moment of working out a double-meaning crossword clue.
