Goodbye, Greg, for Now

Another old-school writer-about-comics calls a halt, demonstrating that this reviewing thing is hard when you also have an adult life and responsibilities. (That’s not a crack — it’s just that one’s time is much more one’s own while in school or just out of it.)

Greg McElhatton

Greg McElhatton has posted a farewell at his site, Read About Comics. As he points out, it’s really just acknowledging reality — he hasn’t updated with new reviews in five months, since he’s busy with (among other things) graduate degree work (and best of luck with that!).

Greg is one of the good ones, with reviews full of terrific insights and even-handed evaluations. I’ll miss reading his posts.

Awwww, thanks Johanna. I’m glad you’re still in the trenches!

Thanks for your work, Johanna and KC. There are fewer and fewer venues for reading interesting comics reviews these days – can’t think of the last time I read reviews at Savage Critics. So, here’s to you!
