Now that I’m in the Midwest, C2E2 — Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo — is the biggest show most local to me. It’s held at the end of next month, April 25-27, but the deadline to buy tickets and have them mailed to you is TODAY at midnight Central time. Prices are $60 for the weekend or from $25-$35 per day.
Also closing at the same time is professional registration. If you’re an artist, editor, librarian, publisher, retailer, or any number of other cateogires, you can get a free Friday ticket or a reduced-rate weekend ticket, but you must register in advance, since there is no on-site registration.
Unfortunately, due to a prior engagement, I will only be at the show Friday and Saturday morning, but I’m looking forward to it. Even if most of the entertainment guests are from shows I don’t watch or even, in some cases, recognize the name of. I’m more interested in the comic guests anyway. It’s always fun to wander Artist Alley and discover new reads!
