Boom! Studios will be releasing a Sleepy Hollow four-issue miniseries in October. The comic will be written by Marguerite Bennett and illustrated by Jorge Coelho, and the stories will be set during season one of the show. The issues will also include backup stories by Noelle Stevenson. The cover to issue #1 is by Phil Noto, as shown here:
Coelho illustrated a limited Retailer Incentive cover, used as a project teaser.
The second season of the TV show will launch on September 22, while the season 1 DVD set is planned to be available on September 16. It’s an entertaining show, blending horror, fantasy, mystery, and history in the story of Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison), awakened in the modern era to stop the Headless Horseman, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. He’s assisted by Lt. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), and their scenes together, particularly when he tries to cope with our times and how different things are from the 1770s, are the best reason to watch.
