Dark Horse has announced that they will continue their line of Neil Gaiman comic adaptations (after success with How to Talk to Girls at Parties, the recent Troll Bridge, and others) with a higher-profile title: American Gods.

The novel, first published in 2001, is being adapted into a TV series for Starz, debuting next spring. The comics will launch about the same time, with the first appearing March 15, 2017. The story will become 27 issues, grouped into three story arcs: Shadows, My Ainsel, and The Moment of the Storm. Those arcs will be collected in hardcover after.

Guest artists for later issues will include Walt Simonson, Mark Buckingham, Colleen Doran, and others.
