Drink Your Comics! Revival Beer Released

Ten Pin Creep: A Revival Mystery

Arcade Brewery, a Chicago craft beer maker, has just released Ten Pin Creep: A Revival Mystery. It’s one of their 6-Pack Stories, a six-pack of beer where each bottle’s label has a different part of the story.

It’s written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Mike Norton, and it’s a spinoff of their Image series Revival. The beer is an Imperial Red Ale, and only 225 cases were made.

This is the third in the series. Previously in 2014, Jason Aaron and Tony Moore wrote and drew Festus Rotgut: Zombie Cowboy for a “dark, dry wheat ale with a spicy hop bite”. Then came Jimmy Palmiotti and Darwyn Cooke in 2015 with The Adventures of Dutch Courage. Arcade has also created Archer & Armstrong and Battlepug beers.

The goal with this third “volume” was to highlight a local Chicago creative team. Said Arcade co-founder Chris Tourre, “We always start 6-pack stories by examining the artwork and story provided to us and brew a beer to pair with the comic. This year, we settled on an Imperial Red dry-hopped with Mosaic to represent the big character of the midwest and all of the twist and turns of the comic.”
