Win Split on Blu-ray!

Split

M. Night Shyamalan’s Split came out on Blu-ray last week, and I have a copy to give away to readers. Now, I haven’t seen it. (As frequent readers know, I avoid horror because I’m squeamish.) But I’m intrigued, both because it stars James McAvoy (known to comic fans as young Professor X in the X-Men films) and because it twists the typical “young girl hostage” thriller by adding a complicating factor: the villain has multiple personalities.

It did surprisingly well, making over $137 million in the US, putting it in the top ten movies of 2017 so far, and a sequel is reportedly planned. Here’s the short trailer for the home video release:

The Blu-ray release includes the following special features:

  • Alternate Ending
  • Deleted Scenes
  • The Making of Split
  • The Many Faces of James McAvoy — A look at how James McAvoy approached the challenge of playing so many different identities.
  • The Filmmaker’s Eye: M. Night Shyamalan — Director and writer M. Night Shyamalan has a singular, big-picture vision of his projects. Producers, cast, and crew discuss how Night’s process gives them the freedom to execute their roles to the fullest.
  • An UltraViolet digital copy of the film

I think Hugh Jackman could play an interesting villian. Thanks for the giveaway. I really enjoyed this movie.

  • Mason Radcliffe

I’d like to see Jennifer Lawrence in a villain role. I think she could pull it off and we haven’t seen her do that kind of role yet.

  • Chihiro

How about Patrick Stewart? He played a cool villain in Green Room.
