Warner Bros. Consumer Products is now pushing a “new Super Hero universe created for girls featuring iconic DC Comics female characters including Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, and Harley Quinn.” Other characters included in the diverse line are Katana, Bumblebee (who’s also a “tech genius” in addition to shrinking), Poison Ivy, Cheetah, Catwoman, Hawkgirl, and as the token boys, Green Lantern Hal Jordan and Beast Boy. Scholastic to Publish DC Superhero Illustrated Novels

Scholastic has announced a deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to publish a series of three illustrated novels based on well-known DC superheroes. Written and illustrated by Dustin Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs, the DC Comics: Secret Hero Society series will debut in February 2016 with Study Hall of Justice, the first book in the series.
