Arrow Season 3 Out September 22

I don’t watch much wrestling, but since we had friends over for SummerSlam, I paid attention to one match in particular. Stephen Amell, star of Arrow, actually got in the ring as part of a tag team with Neville. There was some typically jumped-up plotine about Amell and Stardust (who looks and acts like a comic-book crazy), and yes, the fight was likely well-choreographed ahead of time, but I was just impressed that a TV lead was willing to do the stunts involved. At one point, he jumped off the top rope onto two opponents standing outside the ring! Comic Book Resources has a good writeup if you want more details.
Why am I talking about wrestling? Because it reminded me that I’m looking forward to Arrow season 3 coming out on DVD on September 22. (That’s the same day The Flash is available, and the two are The CW’s #1 and #2 shows for total viewers.)
Aside from all 23 episodes, available on four Blu-ray discs or 5 DVDs, there are two audio commentaries, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and the following featurettes:
- Second Skins: Creating The Uniforms of Arrow
- Nanda Parbat: Constructing The Villain’s Lair
- The Man Beneath the Suit – Atom’s First Flight
- Arrow at Comic-Con 2014
Want a reminder or teaser of the big events that happened this season? Check out the Comic-Con highlight reel below. (It’s got a fate-tempting last line.) And remember, season four airs starting October 7, during which Speedy becomes Red Arrow!
