Another Doctor Who Title Joins the Titan Comics Lineup

Joining their titles for the Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth, Eighth, and Fourth Doctors, Titan Comics has announced that they will launch a five-issue miniseries for Doctor Who: The Third Doctor on August 31.
Paul Cornell writes and Christopher Jones illustrates “The Heralds Of Destruction”, with the likeness of Jon Pertwee, who played the Third Doctor from 1970-1974. Cornell is known for writing episodes of the new TV series, including “Fathers Day” and “Human Nature/The Family of Blood”, as well as comics, including Wolverine.
Also in the story will be companions Jo Grant (Katy Manning) and the Brigadier (Nicholas Courtney). This Doctor Who was more action-oriented, a super-science secret agent trapped on Earth (since the Time Lords disabled his TARDIS). The story features “something enormous and extraterrestrial crash[ing] into Bedfordshire”.
Typical of the Doctor Who releases, there are five variant covers, including a blank sketch cover.
Titan has also released this sample page of interior art by Christopher Jones, with inks by Rodney Ramos and colors by Rodrigo Fernandes.
