Adventures of Superhero Girl Comes Back to Print in Expanded Edition

The Adventures of Superhero Girl (Expanded Edition)

Faith Erin Hicks’ The Adventures of Superhero Girl collects a bunch of funny, entertaining comics about a young woman trying to figure out how to be a superhero and an adult. It’s got terrific writing and cartooning as well as good amounts of heart and sympathy to the problems of getting yourself started in the world. It also won an Eisner Award.

This summer, it’s coming back to print in an expanded edition. The Adventures of Superhero Girl (Expanded Edition) will have two more stories (originally published in the True Patriot Canadian creator anthology), a new four-page short, and pinups from creators Tyler Crook, Ron Chan, Jake Wyatt, Paulina Ganucheau, and Ron Chan.

The 128-page color hardcover retails for $16.99 and will be in comic shops on June 14 and bookstores June 27. Although I own the previous edition, I’ll be buying the new one, because any additional Superior Girl material is a must-have for me. (I’d say that this would be a good reason to share the love and give away my previous version, but Hicks signed it for me, so no way.)
