A Visual History of Catwoman’s Costumes
These are always fun! This history of Catwoman’s costumes below is tied to the 25th anniversary of the Batman Returns movie, which starred Michelle Pfieffer in a radical reinvention of what previously was most often a purple dress (and potentially influenced by the 1960s TV show outfit). The black catsuit, with tweaks, hung around until present day. But I’d rather just think of Catwoman as symbolic of what female comic characters have gone through over the years, what with the skin-tight jumpsuits and weird masks and odd design touches to emphasize particular body parts.
I’ve previously posted other such infographics; a list can be seen with the history of Batgirl’s costumes.

I seem to remember a purple jumpsuit without the boots (or maybe with smaller boots) in the late 60’s early 70’s. I also remember a terrible costume which was a onesie with an actual tail in the back!
