Mega Princess Collection Out This Week – Preview Pages!

If you’re looking for a fun, exciting, all-ages title, be sure to check out Mega Princess. Written by Kelly Thompson (Jem and the Holograms, Hawkeye), illustrated by Brianne Drouhard, and published by Boom! Studios, it’s a fairy tale with a modern sensibility.

Princess Max (short for Maxine) gets the powers of all the other princesses, but she really wants to be a detective. She gets a chance to combine both these aspects when her baby brother, Prince Bobs, is kidnapped. Accompanied by her wise-cracking, movie-quoting pony Justine, she ventures to Tiny Kingdom and Atlantis on her quest.

The book collects the five-issue miniseries, and I’ve reviewed the collection at Good Comics for Kids. Here at the site, I’ve previously reviewed issue #1, issue #2, and issue #5. Here’s the opening sequence, so you can get an idea of how active the art is. Drouhard’s animation background is a real asset.
