More Archies/Monkees Art, Exclusive Cover

I previously talked about the Archies meeting the Monkees, which will happen in The Archies #4, due out January 17. That post has images of the variant covers along with the art inspirations used.

Now come two more art releases. First is an exclusive variant cover available only through Monkees.com and limited to 1000 pieces. It’s $9.99 (but at least shipping is free to the U.S. and Canada) and scheduled to release on January 10. Here’s what it looks like:

The artist wasn’t named. Fans will recognize the window of the Monkees’ apartment, though, with the guys practicing inside while the Archies peer in.

Also now available are these preview pages from the issue that indicate how the meeting occurs — after Archie gets clunked in the head and knocked unconscious. The following pages then switch art style to one very similar to the old Archies cartoon. Art is credited to Joe Eisma, Matt Herms, and Jack Morelli.
