Raina Telgemeier’s Smile Followup Called Drama

Raina Telgemeier has announced that her next book will be titled Drama, due Fall 2012 from Scholastic’s Graphix imprint. They also published her previous book, the Eisner Award-winning graphic novel autobiography Smile. She describes Drama as “about middle school theater geeks, stage crew, putting on a play, love and hate and friendship”. Even if that description wasn’t of interest to me, anything she does is a must-read, she’s that talented.

It doesn’t hurt, either, that she’s one of the nicest people in all of comics.

Raina is one of the nicest people, period. And the premise of DRAMA does interest me, because my older son was one of those backstage crew people during his high school years.

They are both ECCELENT books. Drama is my favorite because the tell about real life and not just the perfect life. Yes, some people are gay and yes, some people are mean but people dont really think to write about real life they tend to write about their little dream world. I love the book because it has love triangles, romance, suspence, agerage life and DRAMA. I reccomend purchasing the book if you are a person that likes normal life. One of my favorite books! :D Raina is also so nice and lovable and kind!
