Batman and Harley Quinn on the Big Screen

The next DC original animated film release is Batman and Harley Quinn, which is coming to home video August 29. If you want to see it before then, you can rent or purchase (which is renting longer-term) a digital copy on August 15, or you can visit a participating theater on August 14.

As they’ve previously done with Batman: The Killing Joke and Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders last year, Fathom Events will be showing Batman and Harley Quinn in theaters one night only, on August 14 at 7:30 PM local time. In addition to the movie, attendees will see a Harley Quinn featurette.

Tickets will be available beginning June 30 from the Fathom Events website or your local participating theater. (You can sign up at that link to be notified when they’re available, if you want a reminder.)

This is promised to be lighter in tone than some of the recent Batman movies, which I’m glad to hear.

“Fans of DC Universe Original Movies are a devoted legion, and never was that so evident than with the enthusiastic embracing of our ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ Fathom Events presentation,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family and Animation Marketing. “Audiences nationwide turned the screenings into true interactive experiences, and we believe ‘Batman and Harley Quinn’ will inspire a similar night of celebration.”
