Enough Is Enough

Enough Is Enough

This cute little picture book by Barney Saltzberg features two siblings who happen to be sheep and a playful approach to page structure. Enough Is Enough demonstrates both the need for alone time, sometimes, and the pleasure of interacting together at other times.

Olive wants to read, but younger brother Will wants to play. So she tears a hole in the wall (as shown on the cover) and visits some imaginative landscapes in a series of double-page spreads. But after some of the personal time she needs, she’s ready to spend time with someone else again.

Enough Is Enough

It’s a simple message, but one many could benefit from, including me. I liked it, and I liked reading it multiple times. The images are simple, without much detail, but they have enough to convey what we’re seeing. I also liked that the siblings were reading together. (The publisher provided a digital review copy.)
