Gillman’s Newest Foraging Comic Now Available
Mel Gillman has carved out a fascinating niche, creating lovely minicomics — I adore their use of colored pencils — about foraging topics. Their latest, Fungi Feast, covers mushrooms. I can’t wait to read it, as I’ve read too many English mystery novels to trust eating wild fungi. So I’ll enjoy them vicariously.
The comic is available through a pay-what-you-want Ko-Fi shop. You can read for free, but work this informative and pretty deserves a few bucks.
Gillman has previously put out Eating Acorns (black-and-white, includes recipes and philosophy about foraging for food) and Fruit for Free (a color catalog of wild berries and other fruits), available in the same fashion.
