My Convention Season Starts With C2E2
C2E2, the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, will take place in Chicago next month, Friday, March 22 – Sunday, March 24, 2019. I’ll be attending, as it’s the biggest show in the Midwest region, and the timing to travel to San Diego or New York rarely works out for me.
Top of the guest list for me are two Doctors, David Tennant and Matt Smith, plus a Clueless reunion with Alicia Silverstone (also Batgirl), Breckin Meyer (also Robot Chicken), Paul Rudd (also Ant-Man), and Donald Faison (no superhero connection that I know of).
There’s also a dedicated page for comic guests, with a nice diversity of projects and generations represented. I’m curious to check out the Artist Alley listings, which aren’t up yet, although I didn’t realize that this is one of the rules:
Artist Alley tables cannot be used to sell merchandise such at t-shirts, pins, CDs/DVDs or plushies. Artist Alley tables are exclusively for use by creators who have artwork or other items directly related to their work for sale at their table (i.e. sketchbooks, prints, comics etc.)
I guess, once you make pins, you’re a publisher? I’ll be keeping an eye out for that bootleg merchandise! (Just for giggles.) If you want me to stop by your table and check out your work, let me know!
