Win Lucy Knisley’s New Book Go to Sleep (I Miss You)

Go to Sleep (I Miss You)

Well, it was bound to happen. I have loved everything Lucy Knisley has ever published. Until now. Her newest book is Go to Sleep (I Miss You). It’s a collection of, as the subtitle says, “Cartoons From the Fog of New Parenthood”.

There’s nothing wrong with the book; I’m just not that interested in cute baby cartoons. I know there are plenty of people out there, probably parents, who will adore sharing these well-drawn glimpses of Lucy’s new baby sleeping or nursing or crying or wearing clothes or generally existing. I’m not the right audience for this, but you might be!

Go to Sleep (I Miss You)

My lack of suitability for this book is your gain! I have one copy of Go to Sleep (I Miss You) to give away. It’s even signed by the author!

To enter to win this contest, leave a comment below. You don’t have to say anything beyond that you want it, but if you want to say why, that would be interesting. A winner will be picked randomly from all entries the morning of Tuesday, March 10.

U.S. addresses only, please. Winners will be emailed to confirm address. If email is not answered or a valid email address is not provided, a replacement winner will be selected. Your email won’t be used for any other purpose. Thanks for reading and good luck!

I’d love to read it and share it with my family and friends who have been through this experience too. My kids are school-aged now, but I definitely remember those days! Thanks!

I’m still unable to even LOOK at Kid Gloves on my bookshelf without remembering myself as a 33-week beached whale sitting on the beach in the Rockaways, ugly-crying because I identified so deeply (“she has a uterine septum, too???” BAWL BAWL BAWL) I was certain I’d have time to finish the last chapter at home but later that week my baby boy decided to burst out prematurely. I ended up finishing the book in the NICU. Much love!

Typing this as I sit here with my 2.5 month old asleep in my lap, thus trapping me on the couch. I love Lucy’s slice of life comics and would love to read this book.

Don’t know the artist, at all so any introduction to her would be fine!

I think my wife would love this. Our kids are late teens now, but I can remember how much she’d miss the kids just being asleep in the next room. What a great idea for a book. Thanks for the chance.

  • Thanks to everyone for entering! I’ve done a random draw and emailed the winner.
