More J. Jonah Jameson to Come from JK Simmons
In this brief clip provided by SiriusXM, JK Simmons answers the question as to whether we’ll see him again as J. Jonah Jameson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This comes from a call-in to The Jess Cagle Show.
I have to say, one thing the Marvel movies get very right is their casting. Simmons is perfect as the grumpy, old-school newspaper editor, just as Robert Downey Jr. was perfect as Iron Man and Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange.
I’m so behind in movie watching. You’d think the pandemic would be a great time to get caught up, but superhero movies aren’t as fun without friends over, and I spend all day staring at screens so I wind up reading at night. I hadn’t realized there was a JJJ cameo in Spider-Man: Far From Home because I haven’t seen it yet!
Anyway, there’s been another appearance filmed, with no specifics given, and possibly one beyond planned. I look forward to seeing them — whenever I get to them! (I may have to downgrade my appreciation for Simmons, though, as he uses one of my least-ever-favorite words: “impactful”.)

If you like Simmons (and who doesn’t), have you seen Counterpart? It was a two-season series, and arguably the best series on tv in a decade.
Not many people saw it because it was on Starz, but it’s streaming now, I think on Amazon Prime.
It’s not something I’d watch for light escapism, but it is very, very good.

Is that the alternate universe/ two versions of his character one? I’d heard great things about that, didn’t realize it was more widely available, thanks!
