Coming next month from Scout Comics is Deadfellows #1. Written by Kody Hamilton and illustrated by Ramiro Borallo, it’s the story of a suicidal guy who finds out his new apartment is haunted. A ghost stops him from killing himself… and then how will they interact? Here’s the publisher’s description:

Pete Miller has just gotten out of his two-year relationship, reeling from the chaos of it all without friends or family around. As he moves into his new awful, one-bedroom apartment Pete attempts to take his own life, but is stopped by a benevolent ghost. Moved by the kindness of this supernatural stranger, Pete sets out to bond with this ghost at all costs — but he quickly learns he doesn’t understand the paranormal or their intentions.

It’s an intriguing idea. Deadfellows is one of Scout’s Nonstop titles, which means they’re putting out this single issue, 32 pages for $4.99, and then, in a few months, putting out the whole story. I’ve read the first issue, and I’m curious enough to read the whole thing, if I remember when it comes out. (No date announced yet.)

Here are the cover and the first few pages.
