Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter / Under the Hood

These two special features collected on DVD are due in stores March 24. Tales of the Black Freighter 26 minutes. Rated R for “violent and grisly images”. (That’s fun to say.) Pushing Daisies

Pushing Daisies combines the love-with-obstacles relationship of a great screwball comedy with the brightly candy-colored visual imagination of the (first) Willy Wonka movie or The Wizard of Oz. Have you heard about the upcoming anthology volume Kramer’s Ergot 7 from Buenaventura Press? It’s a deluxe original hardcover — which has been done before, most often with reprint material — but due to publishing it at larger-than-newspaper page size, they’re pricing it at $125.
