Israel Idonije, Chicago Bears defensive lineman, appeared at C2E2 to debut a special limited edition #1 of his series The Protectors, put out by Athlitacomics. Idonije came up with the idea during training camp years ago. The series combines two basic concepts — sports heroes and super heroes — into an adventure where athletic stars get superpowers.
